Business Analyst/Project Manager - Transformation - FSI
Seeking a Transformation BA/PM with a product owner mindset, enterprise-scale project experience, change management expertise, and strong communication skills in English and Cantonese for financial services transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document current business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Support the project team in evaluating solution options and making informed decisions.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather user requirements, develop user stories, and manage project backlogs. Guide the team in prioritizing and validating project needs while ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional, technical, and system specifications. Monitor solution development to ensure deliverables meet stakeholder expectations and address requirements effectively.
- Assess changes to business requirements during the project lifecycle and evaluate their impact on proposed solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including workflows, requirement specifications, user manuals, support materials, and reference guides.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including business units, data specialists, IT professionals, cybersecurity experts—to ensure seamless communication and successful delivery of solutions.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex transformation projects across the full lifecycle—from planning through execution—while managing risks, dependencies, and issues effectively.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to drive adoption of new processes, systems, or tools across the organization.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations while influencing decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction within the financial services domain.
Qualifications:
- A degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in business analysis/project management roles focused on transformation or solution delivery within financial services or consulting environments.
- Strong product owner mindset with demonstrated ability to define vision, prioritize features based on business value, and deliver impactful solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale projects involving multiple teams across geographies or business units; consultancy background is highly desirable.
- Experience working on Data/AI/Cloud/security/Process transformation-related projects is a plus.
- Exceptional ability to analyze intricate challenges and develop practical, results-oriented solutions tailored to business needs.
- Outstanding communication skills in English and Cantonese—both written and verbal—paired with strong interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration and build relationships across diverse teams.
- Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), Prosci Change Management Practitioner, or equivalent are highly desirable.
