Business Analyst / BA Lead - Digital Transform
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Operations Analyst to play a pivotal role in a major digital transformation initiative based in Hong Kong. This position offers you the chance to be at the heart of project delivery, supporting and coordinating across multiple workstreams to ensure seamless execution and integration. What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive integrated project plans, timelines, and milestone trackers to ensure all deliverables are met efficiently across assigned workstreams.
- Facilitate key project meetings by preparing agendas, distributing materials, capturing precise minutes with clear action items, and ensuring follow-up on commitments.
- Identify, track, mitigate, and report on project risks, issues, and dependencies across all workstreams to maintain project health and momentum.
- Manage the action/risk/issue log as well as change control processes to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare executive-level status reports and dashboards that provide clear insights into project progress for senior stakeholders.
- Serve as a critical thinking partner by challenging assumptions, validating decisions against real business configurations, and ensuring practical customer experience alignment.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities between business configuration leads, content/process teams, training partners, HR representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure synchronisation of efforts.
- Support the development of user acceptance testing strategies by coordinating testers, tracking defect resolution, and participating in trial runs or simulation exercises before deployment.
- Assist workstream managers in breaking down complex deliverables into actionable tasks while tracking progress against goals to ensure timely completion.
- Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by management to support overall team effectiveness.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline is required for this role.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst with exposure to large-scale projects is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated background in project management, business process reengineering, engineering transformation projects or process improvement initiatives is essential.
- Experience supporting Project Management Office functions within sizable projects provides a strong foundation for success in this position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese are necessary; proficiency in Putonghua is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams is expected for effective documentation and collaboration.
- PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory; Scrum Master or Agile training would be beneficial but not essential for consideration.
- Ability to remain proactive under pressure while adapting effectively to changing priorities or requirements is crucial for thriving in this environment.
