IT Business Analyst - API

My client is seeking a highly skilled IT Business Analyst with expertise in Bank Open API Solutions to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring seamless integration of banking APIs to enhance financial services and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Requirement Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to banking API integrations.

- API Integration: Work closely with developers and stakeholders to design and implement Open API solutions for our treasury services.

- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve business processes using API-driven solutions.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external partners to ensure alignment on API strategies.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure API implementations comply with banking regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.

- Testing & Validation: Assist in API testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure seamless functionality.

- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of API specifications, workflows, and integration processes.

- Market Trends: Stay updated on emerging trends in Open Banking, API technologies, and financial services innovation.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in IT business analysis, preferably in banking or fintech.

- Technical Knowledge:

- Strong understanding of Bank Open API frameworks (e.g., PSD2, Open Banking standards).

- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, and API security protocols .

- Familiarity with banking systems, payment gateways, and financial data exchange .

- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and technical teams.

- Project Management: Experience in Agile methodologies and API lifecycle management.
