Seeking a strategic and detail-oriented professional to lead the financial oversight of our IT Change Investment Budget. This role involves actuals reporting, forecast analysis, and the identification of financial risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budget Management: Establish a robust framework for managing the IT Change Investment Budget, ensuring accurate reporting and effective oversight.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Value Stream Portfolio Leads to create a unified view of financial performance, enhancing transparency across the IT Investment Portfolio.
  • Insight & Recommendations: Provide actionable insights to IT Leadership regarding financial performance, recommending risk mitigations and opportunities for budget reinvestment.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with IT Business Management and Finance to automate and enhance finance processes, reducing manual tasks.
  • Financial Assurance: Deliver independent financial assessments on Value Stream and Project-level Business Cases, fostering a culture focused on delivering value.
  • Training & Development: Enhance financial management skills within Value Stream teams through coaching and training in budgeting and financial risk management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, ensuring the integrity of Value Stream financials.

Qualifications

  • A degree from an accredited institution, along with relevant finance or accounting qualifications (CA, CPA, CIMA preferred).
  • Over 10 years of experience in financial management, particularly within change portfolios or large programs.
  • Proven management experience in a Finance or PMO environment.
  • Familiarity with lean portfolio management practices (SaFE, LSS) is advantageous.
  • Professional project management or agile certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Scrum) are a plus.
  • Strong communicator, capable of translating complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with an eye for detail, able to maintain a holistic view of financial objectives.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Excel Macros and VBA is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Finance systems (General Ledger) and modern change management tools (e.g., Apptio, Planview, Jira, PowerBI, Tableau) is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
