A global investment bank seeks a Front Office Platform Support in Hong Kong, supporting equity trading platforms across Asia, ensuring reliability, production stability, continuous improvement, and close collaboration with traders.

Key responsibilities

As a Front Office Platform Support, you will play a key role in ensuring robust equity trading platform performance while driving operational excellence and innovation. Your responsibilities include:

• Partner with front-office trading teams to support daily workflows, service quality, and evolving platform and SLA requirements
• Own production monitoring and control, ensuring clear instrumentation for stability, performance, and ad-hoc analysis
• Perform testing and technical analysis to identify bottlenecks and risks, and propose system, architecture, or infrastructure improvements
• Implement and deliver agreed enhancements through DevOps and CI/CD practices, improving release safety and incident remediation
• Drive technical and organizational excellence with regional and global teams, promote modern tools and AI-assisted development, and comply with all regulatory, conduct, and certification requirements

Candidate profile

To excel in this role, you will bring proven expertise in supporting complex financial systems within equity markets alongside strong technical skills. Key qualifications include:

• Strong knowledge of equity markets, products, and front-to-back trading workflows, including instruments, P&L and VaR concepts
• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to document clearly and explain technical topics to non-technical users
• Experience supporting production systems on Windows and UNIX environments, including services, scripts, and batch scheduling tools
• Solid SQL skills with experience supporting database-driven systems, stored procedures, and basic query optimisation
• Experience with monitoring and platform tools (e.g., Geneos), familiarity with C#, and exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
