Production support / SRE/ Incident management - Banking

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Support / SRE Engineer to join our financial service client, focusing on maintaining and improving the reliability, quality, and time-to-market of their digital solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the production environment, ensuring system health, and driving continuous improvements in processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Production Support: Provide application support, coordinate with the incident team, manage production alert notifications, and perform application health checks.
• Incident Management: Close incident tickets, manage Grafana and ITM alerts, and track all outstanding defects without aging.
• Application Monitoring: Optimize application monitoring using bank-wise tools such as Grafana, Vizeral, ITM, and batch run.
• Production Resilience: Maintain production resilience and availability, focusing on superior client experience, by collaborating with operation, business, and technology teams.
• Dashboard Management: Ensure the daily dashboard is up to date with relevant information.
• Project Support: Work closely with the project team and L3 support to review incidents regularly, implement improvement plans, and ensure production readiness for releases.
• BAU Activities: Lead activities such as security patches, certification renewal, downtime maintenance, AWS hardening review/deployment, and cross-impact project release.
• Site Reliability Engineering: Support the implementation of Site Reliability Engineer and Chaos Engineering design for all strategic systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in processes or systems leveraging Site Reliability Engineering methods.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience: 5+ years as Production Support / Application Support / SRE Engineer.
• Proficiency in Java, AWS cloud, and Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with high availability, high-scale, and performant systems.
• Experience with banking will be an added advantage.
• Proactive and flexible approach to work, with excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Cantonese and English
