This role is to build and support the Linux/Windows server on-perm and public cloud Platform. The responsibilities include implementation, deployment, monitoring, support, and configuration management. This will include the cross platform support and delivery of Linux/Windows servers including cloud and virtualisation.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead adoption of strategic cloud services - On-premise (VMware) and Cloud Infrastructure (AWS or Azure). Apply technical expertise to strategise for current/future technological developments and serve as point of contact for technology questions
• Own the full Cloud product lifecycle of Cloud environment (Plan, Build, Run) leverage Cloud technologies. Technical leadership in design, implementation and support of the core Cloud services that are highly reliable, flexible, scalable and cost effective
• Lead and manage storage technical issues impacting applications working cross functionally across leads of infrastructure, network, and application teams
• Provide guidance to a team of cloud engineers to troubleshoot and investigate performance issues, and resolve in timely fashion
• Provide 24x7 Cloud instrumentation & observability, along with compliance of all audits via the use of auditing tools and action plans
• Review consistently on the usage of Cloud inventory on-going basis and work on consolidation, migration and deletion of assets associated and ensure savings to IT spend
• Risk and Control oversight of Cloud environment ensuring engagement with Security and Engineering teams

Qualification and Experience

• University degree in Computer Science equivalent
• 5+ years of proven experience with building, automating, patching, and troubleshooting mission-critical large-scale Linux/Windows servers hosted in Virtual and Physical environments
• 5+ years of work experience in managing a large environment of private or public
  cloud infrastructure and platform services supporting mission critical applications
• 5+ years of work experience in Infrastructure and network services
• 5+ years of experience in Linux, preferably SUSE, CentOS, RHEL, etc.
• 5+ years of experience in VMware virtualisation - vCenter, ESXi, VDS, VM's, etc.
• 3+ years of experience in Automation and configuration management of Linux/Windows servers using Puppet, Ansible
• 3+ Hands On experience in one of the following: Shell scripting, Python, Salt, Javascript, Golang, always iterating and seeking new ways to automate repetitive tasks
• 3+ years of experience in GitHub, KVM, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, and configuration management systems
• 3+ years of experience in managing Active directory, DNS (BIND), Proxy (Squid)
• 2+ years of experience in Kubernetes platform
• 2+ years of experience in cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience working in agile delivery
• Scrum master / project management certification is preferred
• Certifications in Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure a plus
• RHCE/RHCA or equivalent certification is preferred
• VMware VCP-DCV certification is preferred
• Kubernetes (CKA) certification is preferred
• AWS or Azure certification is preferred
• CCNP/CCIE certification (or equivalent) is a plus

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of cloud native application, micro-services, containers, Kubernetes and related cloud infrastructure and architecture
• Professional knowledge in public cloud like Amazon Web Services, Azure or Google Cloud and private cloud like Azure Stack or VMware Cloud Foundation
• Strong OS administration skills on Windows/Linux (SUSE) preferred. Experience in - Installation, Software and Patch management -Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Linux Servers
• Experience in high availability network and performance monitoring platform
• Experience working with relational/NoSQL databases
• Experience in codifying infrastructure with Terraform (preferred), AWS cloud formation or Google cloud deployment manager
• Ability to deploy software through tooling (git, Jenkins, Ansible scripts, Docker) and CI/CD pipeline
• Good experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering
• Experience in disaster recovery planning (DRP) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, and other software development and documentation tools used in DevOps
