A telecommunications and technology company in Hong Kong is seeking for a Tableau/Alteryx Analytics Lead (Contract) to optimise analytics operations, enable data-driven decision-making, and ensure strong data governance and quality.

Key responsibilities

As a Tableau/Alteryx Analytics Lead (Contract) based in Hong Kong, you will optimise and govern analytics operations, enable scalable and compliant BI, foster best-practice adoption, and support the organisation’s move toward AI-ready capabilities.

• Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) & Analytics Optimisation: Design, optimise, and monitor scalable, reliable, and cost-effective ETL pipelines and analytics workflows
• Business Intelligence (BI) Governance, Structure & Standards: Consolidate and govern BI assets (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx) by establishing sustainable analytics architecture, standards, version control, documentation, and lifecycle management
• Data Governance & Compliance: Partner with enterprise data governance teams to align analytics operations with organisational policies, ensuring data quality, security, privacy, metadata management, and lineage tracking
• Community of Excellence Leadership: Build and lead a community of excellence to drive best practices, knowledge sharing, training, and adoption of a data-driven culture
• Innovation & Strategic Enablement: Evaluate emerging BI and analytics technologies, contribute to the BI reinvention road map, and support scalable, AI-ready architectures aligned with organisational goals

Candidate profile

The ideal Tableau/Alteryx Analytics Lead (Contract) should have a strong BI and data engineering experience, hands-on expertise with tools like Tableau or Alteryx, knowledge of cloud and governance frameworks, solid data modelling skills, and collaborative leadership that enables cross-functional success.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information systems, or related fields
• Proven expertise in business intelligence (BI) tools (Tableau Power BI), ETL tools (Alteryx, SQL-based solutions) and ETL optimisation
• Strong background in data engineering and familiarity with governance frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern data architectures is essential
• Exceptional leadership, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are required
