Sr Manager ML GenAI Implementation - Reputed Financial Services

Ideally candidate comes a large company and has worked on sizeable GenAI / LLM projects at implementation stage.

Job Responsibilities:

• Generative AI Implementation

Lead and oversee the implementation of Generative AI use cases including natural language processing and computer vision, leveraging your experience and knowledge in this domain. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, develop implementation plans, and execute end-to-end implementation lifecycles.

• Technical Expertise

Provide expert guidance and support in designing, developing, and implementing Generative AI solutions, prompt engineering strategies to guide the foundation model's behaviour and generate desired outputs. Conduct thorough research
and analysis to identify and evaluate suitable foundation models for fine-tuning. Optimize and enhance generative AI models for scalability, speed, and resource efficiency. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to Generative AI, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and optimize implementation approaches.

• Project Management

Take ownership of project management activities, including project planning, resource allocation, timeline management, risk assessment, and issue resolution. Monitor project progress, ensure adherence to project milestones, and effectively communicate project updates to stakeholders.

• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product vendors, and other IT teams to gather requirements, define solution architectures, and ensure smooth integration into existing IT systems. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status
and deliverables.

• Testing and Quality Assurance

Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of solutions. Identify and address any issues or bottlenecks that may arise during the implementation process.

• Documentation and Training

Create detailed technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to facilitate knowledge transfer and enable end-users to effectively leverage solutions. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users on the functionalities and benefits of the implemented solutions.

• Continuous Improvement

Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization. Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and frameworks to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of future implementations.

Job requirements:

10 to 15 years of experience as a ML Engineer, Lead AI application or even Data Scientist
Experiences in sizeable companies is preferred
Mixed of consulting and in-house background is ideal
First exposure to GenAI project is a must

Ideally at implementation stage rather than POC

Location: Hong Kong - Permanent role
Salary budget: HKD 60 to 85k/month + generous bonus
Interview process: 3 rounds
Start date: Feb/March 2026
