Data Engineer/Analyst - Insurance

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global data platform teams to support data onboarding and integration projects.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and application leads to understand business data requirements and align on data definitions.
• Perform data mapping between source systems and target data models.
• Support the translation of business needs into data models and transformation logic.
• Assist in the development of dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
• Write and maintain scripts using SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Perform data validation and ensure data quality across systems.
• Document data flows, mappings, and business definitions clearly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in a data engineering or data analyst role.
• Strong skills in SQL (must-have) for querying, joining, and transforming data.
• Experience with Python for data processing or scripting.
• Familiarity with Power BI for building dashboards and reports.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Ability to understand and align data definitions across systems.
• Organized, self-driven, and detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
• Exposure to enterprise data platforms and data integration concepts.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes.
