Technical Application Manager (data engineering) (65k)

We are looking for an experiened Technical manager who is able to work closely with business team to design, development, testing, maintenance, support and installation of enterprise-level data analytics(data engineering, data warehouse) solutions based on business requirements. Candidates with less working experience will be considered as Assitant Technical Manager

You will be the go-to technical expert for system support and projects, involved in designing, testing, maintaining, and implementing enterprise data analytics solutions. Your responsibilities include collaborating with various teams and vendors, providing application support, managing incidents, overseeing system assurance and user acceptance testing, and ensuring compliance with standards and roadmaps.

Job Duties:
- Work with other Data Sourcing & Transformation engineers, vendors, and offshore teams for the implementation of data engineering projects. Collaborate with the Program Manager, Solution Architects, and Business Analysts to ensure the translation of both functional and non-functional requirements to implementation.
- Provide application support, resolve production incidents, and provide timely management updates on incident status. Willing to provide on- and off-duty supports.
- Work on system design, software development, and release management.
- Manage vendor relationships and application support.
- Assist in system assurance and user acceptance testing.
- Lead defect management and compliance tasks.

What we are looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of project management or leading a team of developers to deliver data engineering solutions
- Experience with Data Lake, Databricks, Apache Spark, and BigQuery concepts (Big Data technology).
- Experience in data analytics and software development.
- Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DataOps.
- Proven experience in data modeling and enterprise systems.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Solid skills in Project and Vendor Management.
- Proficiency in SQL and database solutions.
- Strong communication skills in English and Chinese.
- Experience with MS SQL, Oracle and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Familiarity with various data governance tools, such as ETL, data quality/cleansing, master/meta data management, and data profiling.
- Development experience in .NET framework and C#.
- Knowledge of Java, C++, DevOps, and Azure is a plus.
