A well developed financial institution is hiring a Data Governance guru for their team.

Key Responsibility

• Support to develop standards, policies and procedures to support the creation and provide technical assurance for the on-going implementation of the data governance policy
• Support and supervise information stewardship activities and management of data quality
• Support project planning and management to ensure best practice and legal frameworks are followed with regards to data governance
• Experienced in establishing and monitoring of data governance framework
• Support to design, drive, and contribute to initiatives to improve data quality, consistency and integrity
• Support in defining data strategy to establish and ensure adherence to the Bank’s data governance framework for data policies, standards, governance metrics, processes and data architecture
• Communicate with stakeholders, resolve conflicts and provide solutions in a timely manner
• Lead the facilitation of all working group meetings during execution of Data Governance
• Implement data standards, policies and procedures
• Convey facts and information clearly and accurately
• Operational familiarity in the use of meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms preferred

Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree or above, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Data Governance / AI Model Governance / Data Risk / FEAT / related work
• Understanding in data quality improvement, data management processes is preferred
• Previous experience with data governance / AI model Governance or data risk, auditing, information security, data protection, data management or similar relevant area
• Understand the concepts of data governance, being an advocate for the implementation and continuous application of governance principles and processes
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Problem solver with excellent communication skills
• Confident working in cross-functional, collaborative environments
• Experience in banking industry preferred, but not a strict requirement
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Can-do attitude and good problem solving skills
• Passion for spreading the value of data throughout the company and communicating insights to a broad audience with varying levels of technical expertise
