Data Specialist/Project Management Assistant - Bank

A well known bank is hiring a PM Assistant for their team to support data governance projects.

Responsibility

• Support to design, drive, and contribute to initiatives to improve data quality, consistency and integrity
• To support in defining data strategy to establish and ensure adherence to the Bank’s data governance framework for data policies, standards, governance metrics, processes and data architecture
• Able to communicate with stakeholders, resolve conflicts and provide solutions in a timely manner
• Support project planning and management to ensure best practice and legal frameworks are followed with regards to data governance
• General understanding in data quality improvement, data management processes is preferred
• Support to develop standards, policies and procedures to support the creation and provide technical assurance for the on-going implementation of the data governance policy
• Support and supervise information stewardship activities and management of data quality
• Experienced in establishing and monitoring of data governance framework

Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree or above, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Convey facts and information clearly and accurately
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Problem solver with excellent communication skills
• Support/Lead the facilitation of all working group meetings
• Confident working in cross-functional, collaborative environments.
• Operational familiarity in the use of meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms preferred
• Experience in banking industry preferred, but not a strict requirement.
