To excel as an Enterprise Architect in this forward-thinking organisation, you will bring proven experience gained through significant roles within IT architecture. Your background should include hands-on involvement in developing comprehensive blueprints for enterprise systems as well as guiding solution reviews that balance technical requirements with business needs.

  • Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to guide and influence the overall direction of technology development throughout the organisation.
  • Lead comprehensive architecture assessments and conduct detailed reviews on new product evaluations, providing expert guidance on technical and solution architecture decisions.
  • Assist in formulating, maintaining, and managing the enterprise-wide system architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and industry best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and champion the Enterprise Architecture framework while designing effective integration strategies for both traditional infrastructure and modern cloud platform systems.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of the current technological environment to identify deficiencies or technical gaps, recommending practical solutions for ongoing improvement.
  • Monitor emerging technology trends within the transportation sector to assess their potential impact on the organisation’s technology architecture and recommend adoption strategies as appropriate.
  • Engage with stakeholders across various departments to review proposed solutions, offering insightful recommendations that support business objectives and technical excellence.
  • Support the migration of legacy technologies towards open standards, ensuring smooth transitions that minimise disruption and maximise value.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and support of mission-critical enterprise applications by applying best practices in architectural design.
  • Participate actively in package solution development projects such as IBM Maximo or Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring successful implementation aligned with enterprise standards
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline is essential for this position as it provides a strong foundation for understanding complex systems.
  • At least eight years of relevant experience within IT environments is required, including three years specifically focused on architectural roles where you have developed architecture blueprints.
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing solutions and providing well-considered recommendations to diverse stakeholders is crucial for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: design, development, and support of mission-critical enterprise applications; package solution development (such as IBM Maximo or Microsoft Dynamics 365); multi-cloud solution design and implementation; migration from legacy technologies to open standards.
  • A creative approach to architectural design combined with an eagerness to stay updated on emerging technology trends is highly valued.
  • Excellent presentation skills are necessary so you can effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical abilities are important for evaluating current systems and identifying opportunities for improvement within large-scale environments.
  • Outstanding communication skills are needed for building relationships with colleagues across departments and ensuring alignment on architectural decisions
