Director, Data Architecture - Up to 130k

My client is looking for a Data & Analytics Architect (Director) to lead data & Analytics systems and data architecture development.

Responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining the enterprise data model to improve product quality, including safety, reliability, cost efficiency, and user experience.
• Overseeing the delivery and maintenance of the architecture for Data & Analytics, encompassing data sourcing, ingestion, data warehouses/lakes, reporting, visualization, self-service analytics, and AI/ML solutions.
• Designing solutions to optimize existing systems while collaborating with delivery teams to outline the technology roadmap and manage the decommissioning of outdated databases and warehouses.
• Creating architectural designs and reports for management, conducting regular reviews of architecture components, and preparing technical presentations that highlight the business implications of technical initiatives.
• Promoting architectural standards and policies and providing guidance to engineers and managers at all levels

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 12+ years of experience in data and analytics systems analysis/design and architecture development, with consultancy experience being a distinct advantage.
• A solid understanding of enterprise architecture concepts and their practical implementation.
• Knowledge of current technologies and business processes, including data lakes, lakehouses, Delta Lakes, cloud D&A technologies (particularly Azure), and data management practices.
• Experience in writing and executing RFI/RFP processes for technology evaluation, and leading architecture teams in vendor collaboration and proof-of-concept development.
• Leadership skills to guide architecture delivery, ensuring documentation, deadlines, and outcomes are met.
• Proficiency in stakeholder management, with the ability to influence both business and technical stakeholders toward adopting new technologies and designs.
• Experience in architecture development and information systems analysis/design.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English, along with Cantonese or Putonghua.
