Data Platform Manager

A leading financial group is looking a data platform manager to manage their centralized data services platform

Duties:

• Manage the performance of data platform service providers, identifying areas for improvement and developing action plans to address them
• Develop and maintain documentation of data platform maintenance and data quality improvement process
• Manage the data platform training program to ensure data consumers have the knowledge to perform their work
• Lead group level data platform development and data engineering capabilities
• Collaborate closely with the Core Data Analytics Team to deliver data requests and implement necessary data platform enhancements
• Work with internal and external Data Engineers team and act as a senior contributor on the design, build, and management of the enterprise and customer data platform

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information management, or data engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in data product development, data management, data engineering, or a related field
• Experience with enterprise data platform and customer data platform
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Familiar with modern data architecture design patterns and data modeling techniques
• Highly adept at managing third-party vendors (particularly offshore partners)
• Exposure in data governance and security
