Product Manager – Technical BA/Data Analyst

A leading global financial institution is seeking a Product Manager with expertise as a Technical Business Analyst and Data Analyst to join its Hong Kong team on a contract until the end of 2026.

This role bridges business and technical teams to support the development and validation of a cutting-edge knowledge graph representing banking policies. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring data accuracy, translating requirements, and driving quality assurance across ontology design, data ingestion, and query performance within a highly collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities:

As a Product Manager – Technical Business Analyst and Data Analyst, you will drive the alignment of business requirements with advanced data and ontology solutions supporting banking policy knowledge systems.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design, refine, and maintain ontology structures, including nodes, edges, and schemas for banking policy knowledge representation
• Validate automated extraction of unstructured policy documents to ensure alignment with business intent, data accuracy, and regulatory standards
• Conduct manual and automated testing to identify inconsistencies, redundancies, and structural or logical issues within the knowledge graph
• Act as the primary liaison between technical teams (data scientists/engineers) and business stakeholders (compliance, risk, operations), ensuring clear communication and alignment
• Translate technical constraints into business requirements and vice versa, while documenting data lineage, business rules, and ingestion mappings
• Develop and execute comprehensive query test plans (SPARQL, Cypher) to validate accuracy, performance, and consistency of results
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate outputs against source policy documents, and incorporate SME feedback to drive iterative improvements

Candidate profile:

You are an experienced Technical Business Analyst or Data Analyst with strong exposure to knowledge graphs, data modelling, and financial services environments.

• 3+ years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, ideally within financial services or regulated environments
• Strong understanding of knowledge graphs, including ontologies (RDF/OWL) and property graph frameworks
• Proficiency in query languages such as SPARQL, Cypher, and SQL, with the ability to support data validation and testing
• Ability to interpret complex schemas, data models, and technical documentation, and translate them into clear requirements
• Familiarity with LLM outputs and challenges in extracting structured data from unstructured sources; banking policy or regulatory knowledge is a strong advantage
• Experience with ontology and graph tools such as Protégé, GraphDB, Neo4j, or similar, along with strong communication skills for engaging non-technical stakeholders
