Data Platform Manager

A leading aviation services provider seeks a Data Platform Manager in Hong Kong to lead data architecture, analytics, and operational excellence in a collaborative and global environment.

Key responsibilities

As a Data Platform Manager, you will drive the company’s Central Data Platform, leading teams and analytics initiatives to deliver robust data architecture and measurable business value.

• Own company’s Central Data Platform, leading design, implementation, and continuous improvement
• Manage onshore and offshore teams to build Azure-based data pipelines (Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks) and analytics solutions (Logic Apps)
• Ensure data governance and compliance across quality, lineage, and privacy standards
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and IT teams to translate requirements and resolve issues
• Drive innovation and optimisation through automation, DevOps, and cloud-native technologies

Candidate profile

To excel as Data Platform Manager, you will bring extensive experience managing large-scale cloud data platforms, architect secure, flexible systems, drive analytics and automation, collaborate across teams, and mentor high-performing talent.

• 8+ years’ experience in enterprise data engineering, platform management, architecture, and governance
• Skilled in scalable, secure data architectures supporting AI and machine learning
• Proficient with Azure (Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake Gen 2) and streaming tools like Kafka, Apache Flink, and Change Data Capture (CDD)
• Experienced in team coordination, platform optimisation, and root-cause resolution
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related fields; relevant certifications and aviation data experience are a plus
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is an advantage
