Key Account Manager - Aviation/ Air Freight/ Air Cargo
This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in supporting the management of designated accounts, driving operational reliability, and enhancing customer satisfaction across a dynamic region.
What you'll do:
- Support the management of key accounts within the Asia Pacific region by ensuring seamless coordination between customers and operational groups for scheduled network planning.
- Maintain close working relationships with existing commercial partners to sustain high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with other business units to meet diverse customer requirements and drive continuous improvement programmes focused on customer needs.
- Coordinate the generation of data and reports required by customers to support their operational and analytical objectives.
- Work alongside relevant departments to facilitate new customer operational start-ups as well as ongoing requirements for both ACMI and other designated business areas.
- Assist in the operational set-up and execution of new programme placements, ensuring all processes run smoothly from inception to completion.
- Deliver value-added initiatives by working closely with customers and internal teams to enhance business partnerships and maximise mutual benefits.
- Ensure timely communication of advisories and confirmations related to long-term programme charters, keeping designated customers informed at every stage.
- Promote awareness of additional service types among customers by providing appropriate points of contact for further information.
- Maintain effective communication channels with Operations groups to guarantee that customer requirements are clearly understood and implemented efficiently.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, demonstrating your foundational understanding of aviation or logistics.
- At least 6-8 years of managerial experience within the aviation business, ideally gained in the Asia Pacific region where your market knowledge is highly valued.
- Proven ability as a dependable team player who collaborates effectively across departments to achieve shared goals.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (both spoken and written), enabling you to communicate sensitively with diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for efficient report generation and presentation preparation.
- Highly organised approach with strong emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail when managing multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities that allow you to interpret complex data sets for operational decision-making.
- Established professional network within the aviation or air cargo sector that supports relationship-building efforts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills that enable you to interact politely at all levels within the company as well as externally with customers.
- Broad experience in freighter operations; current or prior loadmaster certification is considered an asset but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of all phases of cargo operations including ACMI, Scheduled Service, and Charter Operations enhances your versatility within the role.
- Willingness to support a flexible work schedule including availability 24/7 as required by business needs.
