Key Account Manager (freight forwarder, shipping)

I am seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of strategic clients, driving commercial performance and delivering tailored logistics solutions. This role focuses on strengthening customer relationships, supporting contract execution, and identifying growth opportunities aligned with company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main contact for assigned key accounts, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Lead annual contract discussions and ensure service commitments are met.
  • Manage accounts across both direct shippers and freight forwarders.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide timely support on commercial matters.
  • Deliver customized solutions that align with client needs and business goals.
  • Prepare client reports and presentations to track performance and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline updates via CRM tools.
  • Identify upselling opportunities across specialized services (e.g., reefer, intermodal).
  • Share market insights and customer feedback with internal stakeholders.
  • Promote value-added services in line with group strategy.
  • Support ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in sales or account management within shipping/logistics.
  • Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills.
  • Proficient in spoken English and Mandarin.
  • Solid computer literacy and CRM experience.
