Our client is a public sector organisation dedicated to looking for a Chief Administration Officer to lead their entire operations. Their business focus on achieving impactful outcomes through collaboration with industry partners and academic institutions.

About the Role

  • Directly report into CEO to define and execute strategic priorities, acting as a deputy in all critical matters to facilitate seamless decision-making.
  • Act as the CEO’s primary liaison to the board, coordinating governance, reporting, and performance updates to enable informed decision-making.
  • Oversee all aspects of the organisation's daily operations, ensuring strategic alignment, driving business performance, and facilitating essential partnerships.
  • Establish the most suitable performance indicator to evaluate and monitor the operational success, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking to implement necessary improvements.
  • Lead the relationship development function, identifying new opportunities, cultivating relationships, and securing partnerships with government entities, public sector organisations, and investors.
  • Oversee budget planning and financial management, ensuring responsible allocation of resources that align with strategic objectives and operational integrity.
  • Identify operational risks and develop strategies for mitigation, ensuring organisational sustainability and resilience in a dynamic environment.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration across departments, ensuring that all teams are aligned and integrated towards common goals.

About the Person

  • Degree in business administration, management, or a related field; an MBA or Doctorate is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably within public sector organisations or public funded entities.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with Public sector mechanisms and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to navigate complex organisational environments and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
