Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to take on the role of Director of Student Affairs. This crucial position is dedicated to enhancing student support and development through innovative strategies designed to upscale the Student Affairs department. The successful candidate will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to cultivate a vibrant campus environment that significantly enhances the student experience in university campus life.

About the role

  • Lead the strategic development and formulation of the Student Affairs Department to enhance student experiences on campus and support departmental growth.
  • Oversee both formal and informal initiatives, including service learning, leadership development, and relevant exposure opportunities.
  • Facilitate the integration of local and international students, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the student experience, promoting campus life and guiding the team to advise on the overall student journey.
  • Deliver high-quality support services to students, including guidance and counselling, welfare, special educational needs (SEN) support, and career services.
  • Drive effective communication between students and the university, ensuring feedback is heard and addressed.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to secure support and create valuable learning opportunities for students.

About the person

  • With an advanced degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related field, along with proven senior management experience, preferably with working experience from university or tertiary education setting.
  • A strong commitment to youth development.
  • Established strong leadership skills, capable of strategic planning, effective pressure management, and navigating complex issues with diplomacy in a dynamic environment.
  • Possesses exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
  • A strong capability to inspire and motivate colleagues is a essential for this role.
