Senior Director - Quality & Production Management
As Senior Director of Quality, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of quality assurance within an international high-volume business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Chief Quality Officer by contributing to strategic development, execution and decision-making processes that shape organisational quality standards.
- Lead a diverse team of auditors, engineers, and quality control specialists across multiple manufacturing locations and countries, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Set clear priorities and goals for production management teams involved in product engineering, auditing, and quality control functions to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality and safety strategies that drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
- Work with cross functional teams to guarantee products are safe, legal, meet client requirements for quality, and are delivered on time.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, vendors, factories, providing expert advice on strategic direction as well as implementing necessary controls and best practices expected by both the organisation and its clients.
- Provide expert advice globally to senior leadership teams and clients on all aspects of quality and safety auditing as well as quality control regulations, standards, protocols, and procedures.
- Facilites training and improvements of suppliers.
Requirements:
- Minimum fifteen years’ experience in manufacturing or control of consumer products with proven track record in quality assurance; at least five years at managerial level overseeing multifunctional teams across different countries.
- Degree qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant scientific/technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated expertise in auditing processes as well as project engineering management within high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience managing QA/QC functions including controls for large-scale operations involving complex supply chains.
- Hands-on experience with tool manufacturing processes coupled with proficiency using metrics to optimise supplier performance.
- Ability to work effectively across different cultures with demonstrated success operating internationally within diverse teams.
- Experience in toy manufacturing considered advantageous but not essential for this position.
- Exceptional leadership skills with ability to inspire team members towards achieving world-class standards while nurturing their professional growth.
- Excellent planning abilities combined with process re-engineering acumen enabling efficient workflow improvements across departments.
- Outstanding communication skills—both spoken and written English required—with Mandarin language skills viewed favourably though not mandatory.
