Purchasing Director - Aviation

As Procurement Director – Aviation, you will be entrusted with steering the entire procurement function towards operational excellence in one of Asia’s most prominent airlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Guide the procurement department in delivering safe and high-quality daily operations that align with the organisation’s core values.
• Oversee the performance of all divisions within the procurement department, ensuring goals are met through supportive leadership and effective communication.
• Drive commercial procurement objectives by negotiating favourable terms and building dependable supplier relationships.
• Manage human resources and departmental assets efficiently to optimise performance and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Determine budget allocation for procurement activities while maintaining strict control over expenditure to achieve cost-saving targets.
• Implement robust Quality Assurance models tailored to meet evolving business needs and operational requirements.
• Monitor compliance with industry regulations and organisational standards to uphold safety and reliability across all procurement processes.
• Provide insightful recommendations on both immediate actions and long-term development strategies for the procurement function to senior leadership.
• Promote an inclusive workplace culture that encourages knowledge sharing, training opportunities, and professional development among team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation management or related discipline is required for this role as it provides essential industry knowledge.
• At least 15 years of experience in aviation industry ensures you bring deep sector understanding to the position.
• Minimum 5 years’ management experience in procurement demonstrates your proven track record in leading teams successfully.
