Assistant Procurement Manager (Marine Supply)

Our client stands as an MNC marine services provider, they're hiring an Assistant Procurement Manager to look after the purchasing activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete purchasing cycle, from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply planning and execution
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to design and execute vendor strategies that support organizational growth and procurement goals
  • Streamline logistics and supply chain expenses by working closely with service providers to identify efficient transport and delivery solutions
  • Ensure effective inventory management by maintaining optimal stock levels, reducing excess inventory, and supporting regional stock optimization initiatives
  • Assess and enhance the performance of third-party suppliers and logistics partners, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with operational standards
  • Uphold ethical, regulatory, and safety standards in all procurement activities, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and best practices

Requirements:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
  • 5 years' experience in procurement/supply chain operations
  • Category/industry experience in maritime or relevant industry (marine equipment, oil & lubricants, vessel spare parts, maritime logistics, etc.)
  • Good command of English
