Procurement Lead (F&B Commodities/Ingredients)

An MNC FMCG manufacturer is hiring a Procurement Lead for the Commodity Ingredients category.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary authority on the commodities category to create procurement strategies aimed at reducing costs and improving cash flow
  • Develop and execute procurement methods, including negotiations and competitive bidding, in line with the established category strategy
  • Leverage external contacts and the market research team to stay updated on market dynamics and competition
  • Lead savings initiatives to consistently meet or exceed performance benchmarks compared to previous years and budget goals
  • Build strong partnerships with suppliers, explore alternative sourcing for efficiency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation while ensuring supply reliability and operational excellence

Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science or related disciplines
  • 5 - 8 years' experience in the procurement function
  • Managerial/supervisory experience is highly desired
  • Category experience in food commodities/ingredients is a must
  • Good command of English & Mandarin
