Product Development Manager (Consumer, Food)

Seeking a visionary Product Development Lead to spearhead the innovation and launch of new OTC products within the health and wellness portfolio. This pivotal role requires hands-on leadership in transforming initial ideas into fully executed, market-ready products.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the full product development lifecycle for health/wellness products—from ideation and concept validation to prototyping, testing, regulatory approval, and commercial launch.
• Conduct market research, trend analysis, and feasibility studies to identify opportunities in the OTC sector, focusing on medicine, supplements, and wellness categories
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, sourcing, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to define product specifications, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage project scopes, allocate resources, and control budgets to ensure cost-effective development while maintaining high standards of efficacy and safety.
• Identify and mitigate risks, troubleshoot challenges, and foster innovation in formulations, packaging, and delivery methods tailored to health and wellness consumers.
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team, providing strategic guidance to bring concepts from zero to execution efficiently.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven track record as a Product Development Manager or similar role, with at least 8-10 years in the medicine, supplements, health, or wellness industry (TCM or OTC experience highly preferred).
• Expertise in starting projects from scratch: ideation, concept development, prototyping, and full execution in regulated environments.
• Strong background in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, or health sciences, with familiarity in herbal formulations, supplement ingredients, and wellness trends.
• Excellent project management skills, and experience leading cross-functional teams under tight timelines.
• Superior communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to report directly to executive leadership.

• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin; experience in China market is essential.
