Director, Container Asset Management System (Leasing & Ops)

A leading player in the container business is hiring a director to lead the asset management system development project.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement an Asset Management System by collecting and analyzing input from various departments, contributing to decision-making with analytical insights
• Engage with system vendors to ensure that system features meet user needs and align with business objectives, while suggesting enhancements for process efficiency
• Work on system upgrades, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, and set up metrics to monitor performance and incorporate feedback for ongoing improvements
• Assess inventories of new and depot units to identify issues like excessive idle time and imbalances, providing logistical recommendations for resolution
• Establish a compliant system for storing and retrieving contracts, ensuring accurate entry of contract information and monitoring the signing process for any delays
• Supervise the accuracy and punctuality of leasing rentals and billing operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and identifying necessary adjustments
• Strategize and enhance depot network infrastructure to support growth objectives, evaluating capacity and measuring performance for operational efficiency
• Develop and deliver training sessions for internal staff, creating SOPs for container leasing processes to maintain consistency in operations

Requirements:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
• 10 years' experience in container business/ship liner
• Concrete understanding in container leasing & operations is a must
• Experience in implementation/integration of management information system is a plus
• Excellent project management skills are desired
• Good command of English & Chinese (both Cantonese & Mandarin)
