Customer Service Officer - Supply Chain

A leading organisation in the marine sector is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their Hong Kong office, supporting the North Asia region. This role offers you the chance to be at the heart of customer service and sales support, ensuring seamless order-to-delivery processes for assigned accounts.

What you'll do:

  • Respond promptly to general inquiries and quotations from customers as well as supply or delivery partners, ensuring all communications are handled with care and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to understand account-specific pricing and supply terms, executing these agreements accurately for each client.
  • Coordinate the entire order-to-delivery process by liaising with Sales and Supply Chain teams, guaranteeing smooth completion of transactions.
  • Fulfil delivery requirements for orders by adapting to changes in delivery schedules and providing expert advice on local geographical conditions and limitations.
  • Conduct thorough order follow-up activities including submission of delivery notes for invoicing purposes and monitoring outstanding payments to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with customers, taking responsibility for the performance of assigned accounts through attentive service.
  • Handle unexpected situations during supply operations by providing prompt solutions and maintaining open communication with all stakeholders involved.
  • Participate actively in ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned by management, contributing positively to team initiatives beyond daily responsibilities.

What you bring:

  • Degree or Higher Diploma holder in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain or related disciplines is preferred for this role.
  • At least three years of relevant work experience ideally gained within the shipping industry or in sales back-up, supply chain or customer services fields; candidates with less experience but high potential are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in the shipping or marine industry would be considered an advantage when applying for this position.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is essential for managing data accurately and efficiently.
  • Self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently while also being committed to collaborative teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with a positive attitude that contributes to building a great team environment.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken) is required for effective communication across diverse stakeholders.
