A global supply chain organisation seeks a Senior Shipping, Logistics and 3PL Specialist to manage complex operations between Chinese manufacturers and Canadian clients, ensuring seamless delivery of building materials and mining equipment.

Key responsibilities:

As a Senior Shipping, Logistics & 3PL Specialist, you will oversee intricate international supply chains connecting Chinese manufacturing hubs with major Canadian clients. Your expertise will ensure efficient shipping processes, compliance with customs regulations, and strong collaboration across borders.

  • Manage all aspects of international shipping from booking to customs clearance for large-scale construction and mining projects
  • Source and maintain relationships with freight forwarders and 3PL providers to optimise transport solutions for bulk materials and specialised equipment
  • Prepare export documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists) while ensuring strict compliance with Canadian customs regulations
  • Track logistics milestones using project management tools like Monday.com to provide transparency throughout the supply chain process
  • Collaborate across time zones with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth cross-border coordination

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you will bring proven experience managing international supply chains. You are skilled at navigating complex logistics operations, preparing detailed export documents, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders across borders.

  • At least three years’ experience in international logistics or freight forwarding with exposure to Canada or North America trade routes
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English as well as Mandarin for professional communication with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms and practical experience handling ocean freight shipments and multimodal transport arrangements
  • Proficiency in project management tools like Monday.com for tracking workflows effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-border operations under pressure while maintaining accuracy in documentation preparation
