Key responsibilities

As a Chartering Manager, you will be at the heart of the organisation’s freight forwarding operations. Your role includes building strong networks with industry stakeholders—cargo owners, shipowners, brokers—and keeping abreast of market developments through diligent information gathering.

  • Oversee dry bulk business operations for importing and exporting commodities such as coal, grain, and ore while ensuring seamless logistics
  • Develop cost-effective chartering plans for Supramax and Panamax vessels through detailed feasibility analysis
  • Negotiate contracts with shipowners or cargo owners and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Build dependable networks with industry stakeholders including cargo owners, shipowners, and brokers
  • Stay informed on market trends to support strategic decision-making and drive organisational growth

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in international dry bulk chartering along with strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration within a team-oriented environment. Your commitment to continuous learning ensures you stay ahead in this dynamic industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or international trade preferred; relevant experience will also be considered
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin for effective communication across global teams
  • 2–3 years’ experience in dry bulk chartering; candidates with less experience but high potential are welcome to apply
  • Strong negotiation skills paired with comprehensive knowledge of shipping operations and contract terms
  • A collaborative mindset with sensitivity toward client needs and a passion for teamwork within an inclusive workplace
