An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager specialising in contract logistics and warehouse solutions within a leading global logistics provider. What you'll do:

  • Identify new business opportunities within the contract logistics and warehouse solutions sector by conducting thorough market research and leveraging industry insights.
  • Develop comprehensive and competitive logistics solution kits tailored for both existing clients and new business prospects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain partners to design and execute end-to-end logistics solutions that consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Monitor service standards diligently by tracking key performance indicators such as lead times, complaint resolution rates, and escalation handling, ensuring continuous improvement across all responsible areas.
  • Work hand-in-hand with operations teams to drive excellence in service delivery through regular feedback sessions, process optimisation initiatives, and shared best practices.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams by providing responsive support, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Prepare detailed presentations and reports for senior management that highlight business development progress, market trends, and strategic recommendations.
  • Participate actively in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing overall service offerings, including technology adoption, process automation, or new product launches.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies as well as relevant industry regulations when implementing new business strategies or engaging with external partners.
  • Undertake any ad hoc duties assigned by management to support broader organisational goals or respond to emerging business needs.

What you bring:

  • A degree in Logistics Management, Transportation, Business Management or related disciplines provides you with the foundational knowledge required for this role.
  • At least eight years’ relevant experience in third-party logistics (3PL), record management services, local logistics services or government tender environments ensures you bring deep industry insight.
  • Demonstrated core competencies such as business acumen enable you to identify commercial opportunities while balancing operational considerations effectively.
  • Proven relationship-building skills allow you to foster trust-based connections with clients, partners, and colleagues alike.
  • Strong analytical abilities empower you to assess complex scenarios quickly and recommend data-driven solutions that align with organisational objectives.
  • Project management experience equips you to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail throughout each phase.
  • A customer-focused mindset ensures that every solution you develop prioritises client satisfaction above all else.
  • Excellent presentation skills enable you to communicate ideas clearly during meetings or pitches to senior stakeholders.
  • Outstanding written and spoken English as well as Chinese (including Mandarin) allows you to operate confidently in multicultural settings.
