BD manager - Logistics/ Freight/ 3PL

What you'll do:
- Identify and generate new business opportunities by thoroughly researching market trends, analysing competitor activity, and understanding client needs to ensure sustainable growth.
- Lead the complete sales process from prospecting potential clients, delivering compelling pitches, negotiating terms, and successfully closing deals that align with company objectives.
- Build strong relationships with both new and existing clients by providing attentive service and continuously seeking ways to improve profitability through tailored solutions.
- Deliver assigned gross profit budgets for your territory by implementing effective sales strategies and monitoring performance against targets.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including operations, solutions, technology/IT, and finance teams to co-create innovative solutions that address customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales opportunities in CRM systems to ensure an up-to-date customer database and track progress throughout the sales pipeline.
- Follow up on accounts receivable diligently to ensure timely payment from customers while maintaining positive client relations.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to build brand awareness and establish valuable connections within the logistics community.
What you bring:
- Degree holder with at least four years’ experience in sales within the freight forwarding or logistics industry, demonstrating deep sector knowledge.
- Proven track record of success in new business development, showing your ability to nurture leads into long-term partnerships.
- Self-motivated approach combined with a results-driven mindset that enables you to consistently achieve targets while supporting team goals.
- Strong problem-solving abilities paired with analytical skills that allow you to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent sales acumen complemented by outstanding presentation skills that help you communicate value propositions clearly to diverse audiences.
- Exceptional communication skills in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin so you can connect meaningfully with clients from varied backgrounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM platforms for efficient data management and reporting.
