Operation Manager - Supply Chain (Medical / Healthcare)

This role offers you the opportunity to make a significant impact on business growth by developing efficient operational models, balancing cost with exceptional service, and driving key financial and operational targets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Hong Kong and Taiwan Supply Chain team by managing all aspects of end-to-end supply chain operations across various franchises, including planning, industrial engineering operations, warehouse management, distribution logistics, customer service excellence, and capital expenditure oversight.
  • Develop comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with business growth objectives while supporting diverse business models through efficient operational frameworks.
  • Balance cost-effectiveness with outstanding service delivery by implementing best practices in process optimisation and resource allocation.
  • Oversee financial investments within the supply chain function to maximise service levels and operational efficiencies across all areas of responsibility.
  • Drive achievement of key financial and operational performance indicators such as DSI (Days Sales of Inventory), E&O (Excess & Obsolete), Scrap rates, Cost-To-Serve metrics, LIFR (Line Item Fill Rate), Back Orders (BO), Forecast Accuracy, among others.
  • Optimise operational processes by leveraging technology advancements, enhancing asset performance, improving productivity measures, and reducing operating costs wherever possible.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with group audit requirements as well as MAPS (Management Audit Process System), quality standards, trade compliance regulations, and other relevant industry mandates.
  • Build a strong team culture by developing robust talent pipelines and backup plans to ensure continuity of operations and succession planning.
  • Deliver people-related KPI targets such as employee retention rates and talent development initiatives to foster a nurturing work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively across functions using remote communication tools within a matrix organisational structure to achieve shared goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline provides you with the foundational knowledge required for success in this role.
  • At least five years’ experience within the medical device sector focusing on logistics operations, customer service management or supply chain coordination equips you with valuable industry insights.
  • Familiarity with Hong Kong and Taiwan industry regulations ensures your approach is always compliant with local requirements.
  • Excellent management skills enable you to guide teams effectively while fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation.
  • Advanced analytical abilities allow you to interpret data accurately for informed decision-making regarding process improvements or resource allocation.
  • Outstanding communication skills help you connect with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills facilitate collaborative problem-solving within cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working across different functions using remote communication tools within a matrix organisational structure demonstrates your adaptability.
