Ocean Freight Manager (Intra-Asia Trade Lane)

An MNC 3PL services provider is hiring a Freight Manager to take care of their Intra-Asia lane operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee trade activities in Intra-Asia for LCL shipments
  • Handle requests for quotes and tenders from networks and agents within these trades
  • Act as the key contact for resolving operational challenges with vendors (mainly carriers) and consolidators, including issues related to capacity, equipment, and pricing
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with carriers, overseas agents, and vendors while securing competitive rates and favorable terms
  • Work with internal teams to create pricing strategies, share market trends (say FCL rates, etc.), and support growth and compliance objectives for primary strategies

Requirements:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
  • 5 years' experience in 3PL freight operations
  • Intra-Asia lanes coverage experience is a must
  • Knowledge on carrier vendor management is highly desired
  • Good command of English & Chinese (both Cantonese & Mandarin)
