My client is a well-known skincare brand and I am helping to hire some sustainability talents (one AM & one SM) with similar experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION for SM:
- Lead the Sustainability team and ensure that sustainability initiatives are actioned, successfully implemented and communicated.
- Support airline projects and tenders in line with the airline’s sustainability goals, positioning as a partner for sustainability.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of different sustainability programs.
- Review and analyse/audit the company’s sustainability performance, define improvement measures & initiatives, and ensure timely execution by the Sustainability team
- Owner of the Annual Sustainability Report – update with yearly ESG progress
- Stay abreast of sustainability trends and innovations, as well as relevant government regulations affecting the company’s products & services.
- Support communication & marketing with effective and inspiring communication on our sustainability strategy.
- Define training needs and training concepts, together with the Sustainability Lead for internal staff regarding our sustainability targets and progress.
JOB REQUIREMENTS for SM:
- University Degree or Continuing Education in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or Business Administration is preferred
- 8+ years work experience, 3+years in leadership roles.
- Experience in travel/airline, consumer/luxury goods, skincare, or sustainability consulting/environmental assessments is preferred
- Strong leadership skills with strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Strong project management skills, solution-oriented, pragmatic approach, flexible
- Be a highly approachable leader, who can openly accept and work effectively in a climate of interaction, communicating up and down the organization.
- Work collaboratively with business, organizations, institutions, and other key stakeholders across different cultures and geographies to understand the challenges, develop solutions and implement action plans to drive change in line with the business strategy.
- Proficient and fluent in English and Chinese
JOB DESCRIPTION for AM:
- Support the execution of the sustainability strategy and drive the execution
- Responsible to collect, consolidate & deliver data (internal and external) for various initiatives, including but not limited to GHG-Assessments, Life Cycle Analysis’s, and Annual Reporting - in coordination with our sustainability partner, REBEL.
- Be the “dashboard” owner for the Life Cycle Analysis Dashboards, a key tool used for “what-if analysis” and communication of environmental impacts.
- Engage with and support the wider team to ensure sustainability initiatives are understood and actioned.
- Support the operational teams (design, brands, supply chain) with sustainability know-how to drive our sustainability agenda.
- Develop and maintain the “Sustainability knowledge Hub” as a central point of information, education, and inspiration for the internal teams.
- Stay ahead of, and communicate internally, sustainability trends and innovations, as well as relevant government regulations affecting the company’s products & services.
- Staff training: Educate and inspire staff regarding our sustainability journey, tools, and initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS for AM:
- University Degree or Continuing Education in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or Business Administration is preferred
- Experience with GHG Assessments, Life Cycle Assessments and/or Environmental Reporting
- Minimum 5 years working experience
- Experience in travel/airline, consumer/luxury goods, skincare, or sustainability consulting/environmental assessments is preferred
- Strong planning, organisational skills, and project management skills
- Strong communication skills with ability to inspire and influence
- Strong digital and Microsoft Office skills, Advanced
- Proficient and fluent in English and Chinese
