An MNC manufacturer is hiring a Logistics Operation Manager to optimize their global distribution process.
Responsibilities:
Create and execute logistics strategies that support the organization’s global objectives
Streamline transportation systems to ensure prompt delivery and oversee inventory management to prevent shortages
Handle contract negotiations with 3PL vendors and ensure adherence to regulations
Collaborate with various departments to improve operations
Review key performance metrics and implement enhancements, including tech solutions for better efficiency
Requirements:
Degree in Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
8 years' experience in logistics operations, including 3 years in strategic supply chain planning
Experience in collaborating with production plants is a must (manufacturing background)
6-sigma (green/black belt) is compulsory
Other certification in Supply Chain Management is a plus
Good command of English & Chinese (both Mandarin & Cantonese)

Main responsibilities are to:
* Conduct the Procurement activities in APAC across different spend categories for IT and Non-IT Services and implement Preferred Supplier Lists;
* Manage the Sourcing manager(s) team based in India;
* Deliver Category management strategy;
* Ensure all purchases conducted within APAC strictly adheres and complies with all aspects of the APAC and Global Procurement Policy in the Head Office (H/O);
* Coordinate Procurement requests required by the Business to provide oversight and expertise on Request for Proposals/Quotations (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs);
* Responsible for all vendor/consultancy agreements as part of contract management, vendor performance to ensure compliance with the Procurement policies within APAC;
* Continuously explore suitable vendor selection options with the goal to achieve real savings from contract negotiations and/or vendor consolidations; and
* Contribute to the procurement strategy definition and to the delivery of the savings targets
