Merchandising Manager - Leather Bags
As a Merchandising Manager - Leather Goods for the company, you will be entrusted with driving commercial success for a globally recognised leader in luxury handbags and accessories.
Job Responsibilities
- Serving with excellent merchandsing knowledge, develop new business opportunities by identifying potential clients within the luxury leather goods market and presenting tailored OEM solutions that meet their needs.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with both existing customers and new prospects by promoting the company’s manufacturing capability.
- Negotiate complex business deals and contract terms with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements that support long-term partnerships.
- Support and implement effective strategies designed to achieve ambitious targets.
- Formulate strategic merchant management policies for target markets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market trends.
- Strengthen connections with key business partners and stakeholders through regular communication, joint initiatives, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Commercial activities including oresentations, face-to-face meetings, and other forms of client engagement to maximise customer satisfaction.
- Visits to manufacturing facilities to ensure seamless operations and foster deeper understanding of production processes.
- Undertake frequent business travel as required to maintain close contact with clients, partners, and internal teams across multiple locations.
Requirements
- A degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline is essential for understanding market dynamics within leather goods sector.
- At least eight years’ proven experience in sales or business development within leather goods industry is required.
- Extensive knowledge of the industry along with an established network of contacts enables you to identify opportunities quickly and effectively.
- Exceptional organisational skills allow you to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail across all tasks.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities empower you to present ideas clearly during negotiations or when liaising with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Advanced negotiation skills are necessary for securing favourable terms that benefit both clients and the organisation over time.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin ensures smooth communication across regional offices as well as with international clients.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate teams fosters a positive environment where everyone works together towards common goals.
- Willingness to undertake frequent business travel demonstrates your commitment to maintaining strong relationships across borders.
