On 31 August 2017, Sommer Nisbet, Head of Training in Southeast Asia & Greater China, moderated the panel discussion “Sustainable HR Practice – are you hiring for the future?” hosted by Mettā Hong Kong. The other panellists were Priyanka Gothi, founder of Retired Not Out, Kimberly Arth, founder of PIVOT, and Anna Simpson, author of The Innovation-Friendly Organization.
Topics that were covered included:
- Tapping into an untapped labor
- Risk or opportunity: A further look at the stigma around hiring retirees and returnees and myth-busting
- The importance of alternative work
- What's working and what's not, as organisations attempt to make a shift in hiring practices
