Data analytics role in a leading retail bank. This role is under customer management department and will be supporting marketing strategy mainly.
Deliver big data analytics and CRM projects: think end-to-end, from analysis to strategy through to solution exploration to implementation.
Explore and identify realistic business opportunities for application and implementation of various big data initiatives; collaborate closely with business stakeholders from ideas crystallisation/ requirements gathering through to subsequent business implementation, tracking and fine tuning
Identify data sources to support use case hypothesis and analyse the resulting data effectively using statistical methodologies and insights in order to harness the multitudes of unstructured data.
Study and explore the leveraging on evolving technologies and availability of unstructured data for integration with existing analytics cycle/ process with the aim to (i) discover hidden information in large volume of data and uplift effectiveness for targeting, model building, segmentation to facilitate propositions building and products/services/ offers design; (ii) review existing process to identify room for efficiency/ coverage improvement, from data collection to output generation
Work closely with technical teams and/or vendors to explore solution & shape design and architecture
Prepare reports based on analysis and present to management with strategic actionable insights
Degree holder in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or equivalent
An analytics enthusiast with strong acumen of worldwide evolving trend of technology-driven analytics on big data/ unstructured data.
Possesses strong understanding of business applications to convert data into a business value and advantage.
At least 10 years hands-on experiences in developing and implementing analytics solutions for industries with sizable customer base
Strong knowledge on languages such as R, Python for data processing and visualisation
Solid knowledge of Big Data processing tools and/or Data Warehousing data toolsets, e.g. SQL, Hadoop, Spark
Skills in Base SAS and deep experience with data mining tools is a plus (Enterprise Miner, SPSS Modeller)
Deep understanding of the business value of big data and work with stakeholders to identify their business problems to develop the right approach and analytical solution.
Ability to translate open ended business problems in analytical hypothesis and test the hypothesis leveraging various data sources.
Highly effective communication with the ability to translate complex and technical analytical approaches into business language and outcomes
Culturally sensitive, able to understand user needs with excellent interpersonal skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese Culturally sensitive, able to understand user needs with excellent interpersonal skills.
Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
