The Australian Consulate-General in Hong Kong is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Policy Research Officer to join the Policy and Economic team and is currently accepting applications.

Under limited direction, the Policy Research Officer undertakes research and prepares factual summary reports and briefing, drawing on information garnered from a wide range of public sources on issues of relevance to Australia, including current affairs in Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China.

The successful applicant must have highly developed conceptual, research and analytical skills, and an ability to show initiative and apply sound judgement. Applicants must have strong organisational and communication skills with fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) essential.

Locally engaged staff terms and conditions apply. A starting salary of HKD40,317 per month will be offered to the successful applicant, plus other benefits such as medical insurance, Chinese New Year Bonus, paid annual leave.
