Communications Officer - 1 year (PR/Crisis management)
Seeking a communications professional with 2+ years’ experience to support project communications delivering bilingual internal and external content, stakeholder engagement and issue/crisis messaging. The role requires strong coordination, judgement and clarity daily.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the communications needs of a project. This position requires at least two years of relevant experience and focuses on both internal and external communications, including bilingual content creation, stakeholder engagement, and issue/crisis management support.
Key responsibilities:
As a Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth information flow across internal and external channels.
- Content Development: Draft clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate communication materials for various stakeholders in both Chinese and English, including external communication, notices, and announcements, FAQs for enquiry for frontline staff and stakeholders
- Issue and Crisis Management: Provide timely, consistent, and well-aligned messaging to support issue and crisis communications as needed
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external service partners to ensure smooth dissemination of information across all channels
- Monitoring & Feedback: Assist in tracking public sentiment, resident feedback, and emerging issues that require communication responses
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all communication materials meet high standards of accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance
Candidate profile:
You bring proven experience as a Communications Officer with strong technical expertise and interpersonal skills that foster positive relationships among colleagues and stakeholders.
- A degree in a relevant field: Communications, Journalism, Translation, Public Relations, or a similar discipline
- At least 2 years of professional experience, ideally in areas like communications, public relations, corporate affairs, or creating customer-focused content
- Exceptional proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to craft clear and effective messaging
- Proven ability to handle challenging situations with a calm and solution-driven approach, demonstrating sound judgement during issue or crisis scenarios
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines
- Familiarity with preparing materials such as FAQs and external communication is a plus
