We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our foundation client in a key role supporting grant-making and charitable initiatives. The Assistant Manager, Charities involves assisting with donation evaluations, developing strategic grant plans, and conducting research on social issues. About the Job

  • Assist Project Director in supporting donation requests and executing grant-making projects.
  • Conduct research and issue analysis, preparing reports and findings, and maintaining records for management review.
  • Support the development of a grant-making plan by determining tasks, deliverables, schedules, and required resources.
  • Maintain a comprehensive documentation repository for audit purposes, including funding proposals, agreements, progress reports, project publications, and more.
  • Conduct research on social issues and new initiatives to aid in the development of new projects or strategies addressing specific themes.
  • Monitor approved projects to ensure timely implementation, adherence to pledged outputs, and compliance with budget and scope agreements.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in statistical, financial, and progress reports.
  • Assess project change requests and prepare documentation for internal approvals.
  • Assist in reviewing event invitations from grantees as part of ongoing project monitoring, draft articles and speeches for promotional events, and support public relations/media initiatives.
  • Liaise with external partners including grant applicants, grantees, consultants) and internal teams throughout various stages of the project life-cycle.

About the Person

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, health, education, or related disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in NGOs, government, public sector, or strong compliance driven environment.
  • Strong project development and management skills
  • Solid analytical skills, proactive in idea generation, and passionate about charitable initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in data analytic and evaluation is an advantage.
