Our client is a technology business based in Hong Kong. They are currently seeking a Legal Counsel with proficiency in other Asian languages. The ideal candidate will specialise in handling all-rounded general commercial matters for the regional business.

Description

• Responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiations of legal documents and commercial contracts
• Provide advice, guidance’ and assistance to the business as necessary and appropriate, on how to achieve and maximize business objective under applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, and company policies with efficiency and legal protection.
• Prepare or review legal documents, business plans, actions and strategies required by the business organisation and functional departments. Give guidance and assistance to such items.
• Provide legal advice for all daily operations, new business initiatives and dispute resolution
• Support to establish and maintain legal governance, including legal related policies, procedures and documentation
• Identify, assess, and effectively manage legal risk from time to time; assist with the development of corporate policies and procedures

Requirement

• Degree holder with PQE 3+ from reputable law firms and in-house experience
• Experience in general commercial legal matters gained from inhouse company or private practise
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English, as well as one of the following Asian languages: Korean, Vietnamese, Hindi, or Tamil, is required for the role of Legal Counsel.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and multitask
