AM - Manager, Investment Operations
This role supports the Senior Director ALM including responsibility for governance of the investment team, its contracts and outsourcing management, MAS compliance and reporting, secretarial works for various committees, and support the investment related works for the investment team.
Job Responsibilities
- Group Investment Office Support: Provide assistance to the team on investment-related tasks, including the preparation of investment management information (MI) reports, data analysis, and review of investment reports. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records of changes and approvals to investment policies and guidelines, supporting the review of investment-related risk and control frameworks, and managing updates to relevant Group governance policies and manuals.
- Governance: Ensure effective investment management governance by complying with MAS regulations and internal policies, developing and reviewing process and control frameworks, coordinating board meetings, and preparing reports to support ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Contracts and Outsourcing management: Conduct secretariat work for Investment management Outsourcing Governance Committee, including preparing meeting agendas, drafting and collecting meeting papers, and preparing meeting minutes, support PIM and its stakeholders in timely vendor engagement. Conduct investment management intragroup contract engagements, procurement assessments and reviews, and ensuring compliance with outsourcing requirements.
- Investment committee: acting as secretariat to both committees, organise and plan the monthly and quarterly meetings for both committees, including setting the meeting agendas, meeting materials, follow-up actions, proper record of decisions and timely circulation of minutes
Job Requirements:
- Education and Experience: at least 6 years working experience in the investment management industry in a similar role
- An understanding of the insurance industry and its relevant regulatory reporting bases is an advantage.
- Experience on drafting meeting minutes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability and desire to produce good documentation.
- Organised and maintain proper record of documentation
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Team player who resolves problems through a consultative approach.
- Willingness to learn and curious about drivers for investment strategies, financial markets and their impact on the business.
- Understanding and relevant experience with various asset types and instruments is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build effective relationships and liaise and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business units and Group
