Head of compliance - Digital asset fintech

Exciting and challenging opportunity open for seasoned Compliance expert to join a digital asset fintech in Hong Kong.

Seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to lead and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards. The Head of Compliance will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and updating compliance programs and procedures, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with regulatory bodies. This position requires strong leadership skills, regulatory expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement compliance procedures and policies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards

• Participate in regulatory meetings as the AML/Compliance representative
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess compliance risks, implement controls, and address regulatory issues
• Develop and maintain compliance procedures, including transaction monitoring protocols, KYC processes, and other compliance-related documentation
• Stay updated on regulatory developments and industry trends, providing guidance on emerging compliance requirements and best practices
• Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance matters, providing guidance and support to stakeholders across the organization
• Assist in compliance-related projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of compliance processes

Requirements:

• A bachelor degree with prior experience in digital asset firms
• At least 7 years of compliance experience, with a strong understanding of compliance operations. Experience in establishing or revamping compliance functions is preferred
• Commercial mind with strong problem solving skills
• Passionate about fintech market
• Good proficiency in written and spoken Chinese and English
