Keen to speak with lawyers over 8PQE with hedge fund experience.
Description:
- Advise on regulations relevant to investment management regimes in countries throughout Asia
- Lead all general corporate matters in the Asia region (e.g., entity formation, drafting governance documents, resolutions, etc.)
- Assist with the negotiation of trading documentation with trading counterparties and prime brokers; facilitate trading capabilities on various exchanges in Asia
- Coordinate AML/KYC onboarding with Asia-based trading counterparties
- Perform research, provide insight and make recommendations based on best practices
- Work with the Legal Team to review and interpret international, federal and local laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative environment, with good judgment regarding when to elevate issues
- Provide direct support to the Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with 8+ PQE
- Derivatives/trading document experience preferred
- Private transaction experience a plus but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as negotiation experience
- Practical experience with legal matters in financial services industry is preferred
- Hedge fund and registered investment advisor experience strongly preferred
