PRC Counsel (Junior) (Buy-side)

Keen to speak with junior PRC lawyers based in Hong Kong, I am currently hiring for a Private Equity Firm in looking for a junior legal counsel to assist in their regional business.

Description

• Provide legal support over a wide range of legal and commercial areas including private equity investments (both equity and debt), mergers and acquisitions, fund formation and operation, labour and employment, managing litigations, providing corporate structure, compliance and secretarial support
• Support the legal and compliance team in establishing, maintaining and monitoring corporate policies, including but not limited to compliance policies
• You will join a firm that values business acumen, drive, entrepreneurship, a can-do attitude and working with a sense of urgency

• Report to the firm’s General Counsel and China General Counsel
• Work as part of a team with the firm’s legal and compliance team

Requirement

• Law degree and license to practice in the PRC or in a foreign jurisdiction, preferably also have previously with an international law firm in Hong Kong
• Native mandarin speaker and business fluency in English with excellent communications and negotiation skills
• Prior work experiences on transactions (e.g. M&A, private equity, banking and finance). Prior work experiences in general corporate and funds formation are preferred but not required
• Personal confidence and ability to assert self independently but also diplomatically across functions and levels of the firm, with an genuine interest in the firm’s business and its objectives
