Description
- Taking accountability for day-to-day, often real time, legal advice required to support the Equities business across APAC
- Being accountable for development and maintenance of essential legal documentation including key templates used by the business
- Ensuring the structuring and regulatory treatment of, and drafting appropriate documentation for, a wide range of bespoke products and transactions
- Executing across broad range of jurisdictions with different counterparty types, with particular focus on equities and equity linked derivatives and structured products
- You will be jointly accountable for managing external counsel in jurisdictions across APAC
- Being accountable for review and risk analysis of new products and business proposals
- Having shared responsibility for development of legal and compliance policy and procedures
Requirement
- Qualified solicitor/attorney (or equivalent common law jurisdiction) with 2+ PQE with experience in Equities and derivatives in a top tier international financial institution
- Experience with ISDA documentation and various ISDA product definitions as well as the other industry standard master documentation (e.g. GMSLA and GMRA).
- Demonstrable Legal risk management skills
- Some experience with US, EU and/or Asia derivatives regulation
