IT Project Manager role looking at all IT applications in the firm. This role will be looking at both GI and life but mainly GI.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the enhancement of in-built cross-countries' general insurance core system, and its intranet & internet front as well as interfaces with other internal and external application systems
• Collaborate and support BAU application team for production support and small changes
• Responsible for IT vendor management starting from commercial terms setup, timely check points for monitoring qualified resources and services delivered, risks identification and mitigation
• Responsible for the IT project management in full lifecycle from project inception to successful rollout of systems and embedding of required processes into the operational business areas; coordinate with business users and internal & external resources to achieve project outcomes
• Develop and manage the business case and project plan to support the activity, resources and project dependencies
• Manage the risk mitigation strategy and ensure risks are handed-over for operational management when the project goes live

Requirements:

• Degree holders in Computer Science or related disciplines
• 10 years of relevant experience in application development with minimum 3 years are in managerial capacity
• Application development experience in using Oracle and UNIX environment is required
• Sound knowledge in insurance business is required, preferably in General Insurance
• Familiar with general insurance operation processes and systems is preferable
• Solid experience in project management; qualification in Project Management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE) is advantage
